Movimento Você e a Paz (You and Peace Movement)

It’s worth more to cultivate Peace

The “Movimento Você e a Paz” (You and Peace Movement) is an activity without religious or political character, idealized by Divaldo Pereira Franco and mobilized by the ideal of peaceful living among people.

Divaldo, an internationally recognized lecturer, received more than 750 honors including the title of Ambassador of Peace in the world (Switzerland, 2005).

This movement began in 1998 in Salvador/BA, and is now promoted in more than 20 Brazilian cities and 60 countries, including Venezuela, South Africa, Spain, France, Israel and China. It was even launched at UN headquarters in New York in April 2013 and then in Miami.

In 2015, for the third consecutive year, Ypê promoted the movement in Amparo. In the last two editions, it is estimated that 10,000 people participated in the initiatives: Walk for Peace; free activities for all audiences like haircut, legal guidelines, cultural presentations; Messages of Peace given by the Diocesan Bishop of the city, the Pastor of the Church Assembly and Divaldo Franco, the founder of the movement; and much more.

In addition, institutions and personalities have been honored by the tireless work for peace and more worthy and fair world.

About 700 volunteers worked with love to make these moments come true.
